The ones I'm enjoying at the moment are:

Melatonin

Death Squared

Super Meat Boy

Binding of Isaac

Enter the Gungeon, Celeste and Spelunky 2 also work very well.

is it being maintained? I tried cassette beasts at one point and it was unplayable

Don't know. But just teat any game you like the look of and if it doesn't work then 🤷‍♂️
