Because whoever was in charge when the ban went into effect would lose 90% of the Gen Z/A demographics forever. Hundreds of millions of young kids are absolutely chronically addicted to that app. I'm convinced that you can ween a heroin addict off H by introducing them to TikTok.
Let's not foeget, Trump wa the one who initially sought to ban TikTok, citing national security concerns related to data privacy. I guess it's less important than banning transgender youths in sport.
