So let's just throw away our votes to a third party? What do you propose instead of voting for the less bad option? What is something you or I can actually do?

Run for office and/or get involved in your local government.

Not something my schedule allows. That's the point. If you can do it, more power to you. "Be a politician yourself" doesn't always align with the goal of supporting a family.

Juggling family responsibilities is tough. There’s still a lot you can do though. Talk to your friends, family, and neighbors. Let them know your concerns and encourage them to voice their opinions with others as well. Attend local township meetings and town halls. Even just staying informed can make a difference.

I agree with all of that.

But when it's time to vote, what can you do that is better than voting for Democrats?

I'm not saying "don't do other stuff and just vote." But it feels like a lot of people ARE saying "don't vote; just do other stuff."

As much as it sucks, we're all better off voting for Democrats than not voting or voting conservative or third party.
