it is insane to me that anyone over 12 has an opinion about the latest adaptation of Snow White.
I saw it as a kid and aside I'm the dwarves, I can't really keep it straight from Sleeping Beauty.
like unless it's showing full penetration despite being aimed at little kids, wtf is with all the grown ups with grievances?
It's much worse than full penetration. Apparently asking the magic mirror who is the fairest of them all will answer not with whose the most attractive, but who is more fair to those around them. They're teaching the children compassion.
That's actually not a bad twist for a modern remake. I could give less than any amount of shits about this movie because I am 33 and don't have kids, but not only is that a good message, it adds some plot to one that is razor thin otherwise. Makes the queen going evil hag witch mode more logical as well, cause in the OG it's like...why did you intentionally become less hot in order to knock out the competition? If that's off the table and the queen is pissed off cause of the twist and taking a drastic measure cause she's mad her plan sucked and feels slighted, there's something to fill 2 hours with there. Otherwise there ain't much. The original movie was 83 minutes
Not sure about the Disney movie, but in the original fairy tale the queen is her mother (or step-mother in later version) so she has to disguise herself in order to not be recognised.
Bonus cruelty, the story ends with the queen being made to dance at the wedding in glowing hot shoes of iron until she dies.
