a few off the top of my head from being alive and a fully-fledged adult in 2015:

Mad Max (2015)
Je Suis Charlie is Charlie Hebdo which was big in the news then because they did some anti-islamic shit and got shot over it
left shark and deflate gate in the bottom right (superbowl stuff)
Greece was going through some economic shit (my ex went to an ivy and she and some of her classmates made a lot of jokes about "we could just buy it" bc their endowment was larger than its gdp and bc they're ghouls in training)
BLM blew up pretty big following the extrajudicial murder of michael brown in 2014
last hunger games movie came out (that's katniss on the t-rex)
jurassic park reboots started in 2015
memerican aparral is referencing "the dress" that tore the internet apart bc people couldn't decide what colors it was (wiki)
netflix paid a ton of money for Friends (see the laptop in the bottom right) and that was a huge deal
free snow next to the guy in the celts jersey and sox hat is reference to boston's snowmageddon 2k15

I love that dress because almost every time somebody reposts it with a caption like "can you believe we used to argue about what color this was? Times have changed lol" people start arguing over the color
