Worked at a grocery store for a while where we sold cheese sliced off those big wheels. Watched a cool dude in the deli almost get fired because he put a price tag on a wheel to display the price per pound - but in the corner of the sticker he had rang it as a like .1 lb slice just to give an example of the per pound price. Some insufferable boomer walked up and demanded the whole wheel at like the price of the .1lb tag or whatever.

Management freaked out on the kid and gave the boomer the cheese for less than a dollar - which is asinine... this isn't like a false advertising situation... the cheese clearly says X.XX$ PER POUND. Entitled boomer walked away with like 200$ worth of cheese and almost got a kid fired.

Radicalizing moment for sure.

In the other hand, I would pull that shit with a boomer friend and make fondue for the whole family

Yeah honestly if the guy looked poor I wouldn't have held it against him too much but he was clearly middle class white dude that was doing fine.

You just know that fucker threw half of it away, too. Because you need a plan for that much cheese and he didn't have one.
