Pages randomly not loading (aussie.zone)

Unsure if this is just me or my vpn (mullvad) to blame or the server software but on my phone and desktop every now and then the site will fail to load, no errors just a blank screen and just before I posted a comment but it just sat there and didn't do anything for like 10 seconds then I was able to click post again and it put it through.

I would like to get more evidence but it's tough because ping seems to be ok

Just wondering if anyone else is noticing as well?

The only thing I noticed is that the instance seems to be doing something around 6am AEST each day and is unreachable for a couple of minutes. That doesn't seem to be what you're describing though.

Confirmed. 3am (Perth time) Lemmy restart to negate the memory leaks. Not sure whether that's still needed after the software update a couple of months back.

Can turn it off and find out. I've done this a few times, each time I've ended up turning it back on.. I figure better brief downtime at a low usage time, than random downtime that may require intervention to resolve.
