The only Republican mission is to prove that government is bad, so they'll do anything to keep it from ever working.
Republicans: The government is so bad and corrupt, watch!
Republican elected presidents:
Nixon (watergate, treason in vietnam)
Reagan (Aids, Iran Contra)
Bush Sr (basic war crimes and war lies, like his son)
Bush Jr (more war crimes and lies)
Trump (pick something)
The same people who voted them into office also very readily complain about how horribly ineffective and corrupt they were (except Reagan). The number of people I've talked to that claimed they hated Trump but then admitted they of course voted for the Republican is high.
They do not even try to settle their own cognitive dissonance. Some I've talked to were proud of it when pointed out.
