Note: This article about the internal TNA video calls that took place today about Scott D’Amore and his termination was first released for all Haus of Wrestling ClubHaus Members. If you would like to become a ClubHaus Member and get early access to Haus of Wrestling exclusive news, interviews, and other content, please click HERE.

Not long ago, it was announced that Scott D’Amore had been terminated as TNA President. The news surprised many, as D’Amore has publicly been passionate about the former Impact’s rebrand back to TNA. No word has been given regarding why specifically D’Amore was released, but Haus of Wrestling is continuing to look into it.

Haus of Wrestling has spoken with multiple sources who have confirmed there were two internal TNA video calls today. The first was just with talent and was run by Tommy Dreamer and Gail Kim. It was said to have gotten chaotic after they broke the news that D’Amore was no longer with the company, as many were loyal to him. Kim asked everyone to mute their lines, and we believe some talents were allowed to speak.

The all-talent call concluded with Tommy Dreamer telling talent that if they were unhappy and wanted to be released from their deals, they could have those discussions with the company privately. We had initially been told that talent was outright told that if they wanted out of their deals, they could, but after speaking with others, that does not appear to be the case. One source said that possible releases would likely be based on how important the talent was considered to the company. Jordynne Grace, for example, was mentioned as someone the company would be unlikely to let go, considering the buzz she has coming out of the WWE Royal Rumble.

The second call included the production team and other staff members, along with the talent. Multiple Anthem executives were on the call, including President and CEO Leonard Asper, CCO Ed Nordholm, HR advisor Michelle Hall, new TNA President Anthony Cicione, VP of Business Ariel Schnerer, and VP of Sales Anthony Burroughs. We are told Burroughs spoke on the call and let everyone know they wanted to do more TNA integration on other Anthem shows, like how Eric Young and Frankie Kazarian have done. It was generally described to us as a “rah-rah speech.”

Today’s calls were a surprise to many, with one source telling us they got an email about a “mandatory town hall” ninety minutes before it began. Another source we spoke with noted they would have preferred the press release go out after the second call was over, as some found out about his termination about a minute before the public knew.

The late wrestler Ashley Massaro said WWE management was aware of and covered up her claim to have been raped in Kuwait; WWE denied it. Now a former top executive says he knew.

As prevously noted on PWInsider.com, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy "Sunny" Sytch's public defender in Florida has moved forward with the appeal of the DUI sentencing against her, but no court hearings have yet been scheduled. The court has approved an extension for the court reporter to provide everyone with copies of Sytch's sentencing hearing by 3/18. The way Florida appellate courts handle matters, the only hearings that could happen would be oral arguments regarding the matter. The court can rule directly on any motion either side files.

On the civil lawsuit front, Sytch is still facing a lawsuit filed by the estate of Julian Lasseter, who perished in the traffic incident that led to Sytch's arrest in March 2022 for one count of DUI causing death (DUI Manslaughter, a felony in the third degree), one count of causing death while operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license (a felony in the third degree), four counts of DUI causing injury to a person, and three counts of DUI causing damage to property. The estate filed a series of questions with the court for her to respond to related to her culpibility in the crash that caused Lasseter's death in March 2022. Sytch responded to each questions that she was pleading the fifth amendment - that she could not be a witness against herself.

A second civil lawsuit, filed by Jana Olivova, a passenger in another car that was impacted during the incident, is set to go to trial on 7/8, seeking in excess of $50,000. Olivova had filed a suit against Sytch, Pente and Olivova's own insurance company Geico but an amended lawsuit filed in July 2023, only listed Geico as the sole defendant. Sytch and Pente were included in correspondence from the Court related to the trial being scheduled, however, so it may be they could be called as witnesses. In the original lawsuit, Olivova alleged, "As a direct and proximate result of the negligence of Defendant, TAMARA SYTCH, Plaintiff, JANA OLIVOVA, suffered bodily injury including a permanent injury to the body as a whole, pain and suffering of both a physical and mental nature, disability, physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, aggravation of an existing condition, expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, loss of earnings, loss of ability to earn money and loss of ability to lead and enjoy a normal life. The losses are either permanent or continuing and Plaintiff will suffer the losses in the future. Plaintiff, JANA OLIVOVA also suffered other damages, including, but not limited to, loss of the use of the subject vehicle, damage to the subj ect vehicle. Plaintiff, JANA OLIVOVA, will suffer or incur the injuries, expenses and impairment in the future."

Sytch is currently slated to be released from The Florida Department of Corrections on 12/30/39. She was transferred from Volusia County Corrections to a prison facility in Ocala, Florida after being sentenced to 17 years plus another 8 years of probation on 11/28/23.

Sytch still owes $6,643.32 to the State of Pennsylvania. They filed a notice on 1/19 that Sytch was 1,727 Days Overdue and that a collection agency had been trying to collect for over 180 days.

The status of Sytch's charges, stemming from multiple arrests, in the State of New Jersey, remains unknown.

(Given Warner is involved, this could end up related to AEW)

It’s a game-changer.

Fox Corp., Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney are set to launch a new streaming joint venture that will make all of their sports programming available under a single broadband roof, a move that will put content from ESPN, TNT and Fox Sports on a new standalone app and, in the process, likely shake up the world of TV sports.

The three media giants are slated to launch the new service in the fall. Subscribers would get access to linear sports networks including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ABC, Fox, FS1, FS2, BTN, TNT, TBS, truTV and ESPN+. Pricing will be announced at a later date.

Each company would own one third of the new outlet and license their sports content to it on a non-exclusive basis. The service would have a new brand and an independent management team. The concept surfaces as traditional media companies are grappling with the migration of sports — the last TV format that generates steady crowds and sustained ratings — to streaming venues.

More to come…

WWE star Liv Morgan’s criminal case in Sumter County, Florida has been officially closed, PWInsider.com can confirm.

Morgan was arrested in December 2023 during a traffic stop and Morgan was arrested for possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams), possession of drug equipment and possession of drugs, possibly synthetic cannabinoid after a sheriff's deputy saw the yellow jeep she was operating crossing over the white and yellow lines of a County Road.

The most serious charge against Morgan, possession of drugs, possibly synthetic cannabinoid, was dropped last month because the State of Florida had no way of proving its case. An Assistant State Attorney in Sumter County told KOMONews, “In order to prove the charge possession of THC, the State is required to prove that the THC came from synthetic sources and was not derived from plant sources. No labs in the State of Florida perform such tests, so we remanded it to county court as Possession of Cannabis.”

According to the arrest report, when a Sumter County Deputy approached Morgan's vehicle "the odor of marijuana was detected."

Although Morgan was slated for a 2/20 hearing in regard to the only charge left pending from her arrest, The charge of possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams), PWInsider.com has learned that on 1/31, Morgan’s attorney entered a plea of Nolo-Contendere in regard to the charge. That is a plea in which a defendant accepts conviction as though a guilty plea had been entered against them, but does not officially admit guilt to the charges against them.

PWInsider.com is told that a fine was imposed against Morgan. Court records list an assessment of $543.00, but not any additional fines. The charge of possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) is a first degree misdemeanor in Florida. It can be punishable up to one year in jail or on probation, along with a $1,000 fine. Conviction of possession also results in a six month driving license suspension, random drug testing, and all the reimbursement of all fees related to the sentence. Court records only refer to a fine being imposed.

As PWInsider.com previously reported, there was no heat on Morgan from WWE management in the wake of the arrest. Morgan returned to WWE from a shoulder injury at the 2024 Royal Rumble and is expected to perform at the WWE Elimination Chamber event later this month in Perth, Australia.

It's been a while since we had a TK announcement, but I feel like the IWC is at its best when we are speculating and not trying to tear each other down. So let's all put down

Something you think the announcement is

Something you HOPE it is

Something you HOPE it isn't.

I'll go first!

I think the announcement is

Mercedes signing

I HOPE the announcement is

A streaming deal on Max (I hate the TNT/TBS apps)

I hope it's not

A PPV in April (there's no need for it, let the fall out of Revolution be a factor in the storylines until Double or Nothing)
