This is the 5th game in a row the Reds have scored 6 or more runs. Also helps that it's kind of spread around. Austin Hays went hitless (I believe) but others picked up the slack on his off day.

Team is back to .500 at 28-28 and sitting at 3rd in the standings. 6.5 games back of the division leading Cubs.

Great outing by Martinez and luckily got out of a jam there in the 9th.

Reds bats (knock on wood) have woken up as it's so many games in a row with 6 or more runs (just a shame we didn't take more from the Cubs.)

Good late surge to take pressure off getting the save (even though that took 5 pitches.)

Good turnaround. Hopefully they can keep it up.

I predict they get their shit together to get a win today, but that's about it.

This team's inability to get runs is killing it. I can't fault pitching when they give up ONE RUN through 9 innings. This is on the team for not being able to just get guys to cross home plate.

If they're not scoring double digits it's likely they're not scoring at all.

Good pitching does nothing if you can't get any runs on the board.

Reds certainly living up to that prediction that "the schedule gets harder so maybe they won't do as well in this stretch."

I forget what sent Marte on the IL but Greene now has a groin injury. Rough week for the Redlegs.

It wasn't the definitive moment that the Reds lost but it didn't help. Tyler Callihan made an amazing play to catch a fly ball and then slammed into the left field wall and broke multiple bones (easily seen that he broke his arm.) Reds called a challenge and the umps STILL didn't call it a catch despite how obvious he had hung onto it all the way through.

Best of luck to Tyler on his rehab and hopefully the umps tonight do their damn job and open their eyes.

Even with Ashcraft giving up a few, bats need to wake up consistently.

Not a great start for Petty and Diaz's breakdown in the 8th in the first game cost the Reds both yesterday.

Reds close out the series today at 1240 EST.

Make no mistake- this was a winnable game. Wasn't all Pagan's fault (though back to back HRs didnt help). But c'mon Reds- get it together!

Should've been done with Elly's grand slam.
