Anyone have experience with color calibration on linux? Specifically with gnome?

The gnome docs suggest a pantone huey is the best supported and cheapest option. I can find them on ebay for less than $20. Will I regret not going with a more expensive option?

#PhotoOfTheDay is of a snowy hilltop on the peak of Mauna Kea, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Elevation is just under 12,000'.

This visit was the only time I saw (and briefly hiked in) Hawaiian snow. :) We were told that during heavy storms, the astronomers at the peak could be stranded up there for two weeks.

A random focus stack i did yesterday, i've only done a few focus stacks (mostly astro focus stacks of Comet Atlas) so i need to practice to make sure i know all the steps before my next workshop...

there were 11 photos in this stack, and i think it still has issues, but sooner or later i've got to figure out how to photograph rocks since i have a huge collection 🤣

Sometimes, after a long or stressful day, retreating to sit and relax in bed, often my thoughts drift back to riding in The Headlands - most recently spring 2017, and reaching back to the early 2000s.

It wasn't just the memory, but the feeling of the endless pulse where every moment is beautiful, every hill climb is perfect, and you never want to stop. Six days per week, 1000kcal per ride on moderate days, every perfect morning a perfect sunrise.
