[ TLDR : We move, she follows, 24/7, Why?? ]

My girlfriend and I are in our 20’s and share a one bedroom in a lower income area. I’d like to think it’s not too bad. We have a patio/balcony, grass, we’ve got a tree outside of our bedroom window! We’ve been here for maybe four months now, within the last month our neighbor and her husband moved in upstairs. They don’t live with any kids, might have immigrated here, somewhere in their later 50’s, he works a lot and she stays home.

We haven’t really spoken to her and her husband very much. It seems none of us are very sociable, which is great for us because we like to be left alone. Only once we spoke to the woman while passing each other outside. I think she only spoke to us due to the shock of seeing the complex’s trash bins overflowing mess, and they’re directly in front of our unit. After her venting about that, we never spoke again. I tried to acknowledge her once while unloading groceries from the car, She was setting cloths to air dry on her balcony. I gave a little wave and half smile, done this millions of times and it’s always been communicated fine, and she was literally in shock and scampered inside.

My girlfriend noticed her following us first. What she does exactly, is when she hears one of us walk or make a noise somewhere in the apartment, she’ll walk to the same spot in her unit, and stand there. I don’t know why, but she does! Almost every time we do something!

Middle of the day? Follows.

Just now at 3:00am? Follows

This time when she got to her spot, following me move a floor below her, she was lightly stepping back and fourth and I could hear it through the floor. When I went to the door, she followed. The couch, she followed. I tiptoed to my bed, I don’t know where she is now.

My girlfriend thinks it’s witchcraft or drugs, she also says she heard people do it to snoop on what peoples lives might be like. I think she’s right, or the lady’s just neurotic

What do you think? Why is this lady following us around the house?

Thank you for your help!! :D

I was browsing some subs on reddit and almost every story, AITA or anything related to marriage involves 2 people that have known each other for less than 2 years and are engaged, and/or are under 25. Is it a normalized thing now?

My brother and I are debating it, and we’ve come to the realization that we actually don’t know anyone who’s done it. We know people who know people…but we aren’t seeing any video evidence anywhere.

If you're supposed to be able to flawlessly recite the alphabet backwards when sober then I've been drunk my whole life cause I've never been able to do it perfect. Most people I know can't do it perfect or quickly. Why is this supposed to be proof you're drunk?

Everyone’s panicking about global warming, but our oil supply and natural gas supply is going to run out within a few decades anyways right. So won’t we be effectively forced to move to better energy sources regardless? And then it will fix itself as the earth slowly goes back to normal? Screws over the current generation and the next few future ones but long run won’t we be fine?

Do you have a job that doesn't care if you do drugs, or do you just not get caught? Every place I've ever worked has a zero tolerance policy and have been subject to random testing.

If I've said something so asinine that I got 100 downvotes, I want to know! I mean, what's the point of being online unless you learn something now and again? I'm certainly not infallible and have said many an ignorant, illogical, or accidentally rude thing in my day. But I do try.

I can understand making it optional, since many people wouldn't want to know, but it seems like it would be a very easy thing to program into the system (being a programmer). They have all the framework for it, just need to apply the same logic to downvotes as to upvotes.

I don’t mean like consuming media or doing drugs. I mean more of something that you do in your free time that you can get creative with and build upon? I feel like there’s so many people out there that just don’t nt do anything besides watch youtube and maybe hang out with friends or something. Not that there’s something wrong with that necessarily but i feel like hobbies give you a sense of purpose and creative wonder that most people are missing out on.

The events related to Trump’s second federal indict and the indictment in Georgia happened in 2020 and 2021. Things like Trump’s call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and John Eastman’s memo on keeping Trump in power were publicly available in 2021. So why did it take this long for him to finally be indicted for at tampering to overturn the election?

I’m not a Trump supporter. I’m just trying to find an answer to this question

I don't know why but if a guy says something like "That sounds nice [Name]" or "How are you today [Name]" in early conversation on a dating app I get an immediate ick and feel guilty for it. Why does that happen??

My partner and I are starting to get pretty serious, so serious, that we want to have kids together one day. My partner, however, doesn’t have a license due to a traumatic incident as a child. I asked him if he’d ever get a license before we had a child for safety reasons and he said that may not ever happen. I’m trying to open my mind up more to the possibility of being the only parent to drive especially in the case of an emergency.

I’m just wondering if there are anyone else In a similar situation and what y’all may think?

I am travelling right now and notice the large amount of people wearing midriff baring tank tops, short shorts that are basically just underwear etc. Very skimpy dress. I'm not in any way trying to say that there's anything bad with dressing sexy or skimpy but here is my reasoning for not wanting to do so myself:

  1. I know it's summer but the airplane is freezing cold. The airports too I have found (I've been to five different ones on this trip). I get off the arctic blast plane to be greeted to another endless tundra of the airport. And I tend to be hot all the time but these planes especially this past trip have been just like giant flying glaciers.
  2. Airplanes are just kinda gross. I'm not a total extreme germaphobe but it feels better to have a barrier between me and the seat rather than placing my butcheeks directly on it. Also the seats themselves are sometime made of leather (pleather?) which doesn't really breathe so if you do sweat despite the frostbite you are just moist. Having a layer of clothing would improve ventilation of your backside.

Okay that is it. Again this isn't a critique of people dressing sexy or anything. Just a question about the practicality of dressing in very little clothing on a plane.

Very weird question but all the men I know just wear their underwear when they sleep.

Do any men actually wear pyjamas or is that just not a thing

I always see plants and stuff that is GMO free and is usually more expensive. How would genetically modifying something by be bad. Me personally I’d rather have something modified to taste better and and cheaper. I could also be very wrong about that.

i think im not, but my gf thinks i am

basically my grandparents on my moms side are colombian, but my mom was born in the US and never learned spanish growing up (my grandparents didnt wanna spesk ot around her so she would have an easier time in school apparently) and my dad is white

so i look white, barely speak any spanish, and dont rly have a strong connection to hispanic culture so i dont rly consider myself latina cause i view it as more of a cultural thing, whereas my gf thinks i am because i have some hispanic blood, so im wondering what other ppl think abt it 😊

I’m 46, wife is 54 Still active, but it’s definitely not like when I was younger Mainly I guess my question is fir the ladies 60+ are you still interested in sex? Are you still having it regularly? Will my wife hit a specific age, and tell me fuck off, not interested anymore? Guys, are you seeing a decline in your drive/ability? Genuinely curious, if it does eventually cease, I want to get it out of my system, before I’m no longer able( shit at 46, my knees start tapping out occasionally, I’m blue collar physical job)

My mom always gave (and still gives) me all these philosophical talks about how one should live, think and feel. But the funny thing is that it's just something she hears from wherever, and she is far from living by those things herself. It always makes me think: why give out advice you are not even living by? My father would tell me to be cheerful and positive even though he was never like that.

I'm curious to hear why you think parents are such hypocrites, and I'd like to hear your examples of parents giving advice without walking the talk for themselves.

This quote fits in perfectly here: "If you have children, first of all, you have to establish integrity. Your words and your actions should match."

Obviously a theretical and would also not matter depending on what said wife/gf said but there is no doubt in my mind I wouldn't be an advocate for aborting said child if I found out they where going to have mental issues.

But from people I know and anything I have seen in the media it seems to just ruin your life. Your life becomes catering, looking after and doing everything from your child.

open to being told I’m wrong but alcohol consumption rates are at least very low in these countries.
