Okay so I’m obviously not from the US, however I have just returned from a trip to Jamaica where there was a lot of Americans. In the UK where I live, we tip at the end if we receive a good service, however when on holiday I noticed some bar staff who were rather miserable, and the Americans were tipping before they even ordered drinks. Is this normal for Americans? Why do you guys do it?

What are you doing and how do you feel?

I’m in my 30s and no career. Married. CNA. I want to do more but no good at anything. Homebody.

Me? I'm really good at pouring liquids from one container to antother. Like when refilling the soap dispenser in the kitchen. I never spill a drop.

I'm also really good at finding the center of things. You want a square slice of cheese cut into four quarters? I'm your man!

I'm also really good about eyeballing if something is straight or not. Hung pictures, etc. I'm practically a human level.

What about you?

What makes pork dirtier than beef? I don’t even know what she means by dirty but she won’t eat it.

In my area the cheapest house is going for 1.1 million dollars. It isn't a large house, it's a pretty small house comparatively and I live in one of the cheapest real estate markets for a major city in the US

That same house used to be worth less then half what it is now. I don't understand who is even buying these houses.

I know people think companies like Blackrock are making the housing market go up in price, which they are but there is no way Blackrock is buying ALL these expensive ass houses.

I make pretty good money, a lot more than the majority of people and owning a house is pretty much not happening for me. So who is even buying these houses? It doesn't make any sense.

Most of my adult life I have not owned nor used a microwave and I cook quite a bit. I usually just heat things on the stove or the oven if it needs a longer cook. People tell me I am weird for this but nothing I’ve eaten from a microwave (aside from melted butter) ever really comes out tasting that great.

I recently started talking to a guy who's 21, I just found out he has a girl best friend that is 16. He talks about her A LOT and they are each others BEST friend. I had no idea she wasn't an adult, I always assumed she was one until she called him on the phone when I was with him and I realized her voice sounded young and I decided to ask how old she is. They talk almost 24/7. While nothing illegal is going on I find the dynamic VERY weird and decided to stop talking to him. Does it seem like i'm overthinking it?

It doesn't save you time. And most likely you can't afford a hike in your insurance if you cause a crash.

I've read the word in a few Hindu and Buddhist scriptures. I've heard it being used in music and films. I'm just curious to know if there really is something like that.

I just had a surprise visit at my girlfriend’s house and I walked in on her and her bff wearing only a bra and socks in the backyard. That’s extremely out of character. What would you make of it?

Okay so I’m a vice president and recently this secretary of 20 years and the owner are going out and screwing around. They go to Palm Springs like every other weekend. The part that sucks is that they go to lunch for like 2-3 hours everyday and it’s costing us clients. We’re down 27 clients since 2020 man. We had around 100 clients but it’s now down to 77 and I think it’s bc our owner is less interested in marketing/getting business but more so in this freaking broad damn it what do I do I don’t want to go out of business

This is something i was wondering my whole life.

I never had vegetables/fruits as a child. So the first time i had them was when i made my own meals.. And i HATED them. When i bite on a veggie, i just want to gag.

I know vegetables are important to eat. So i usually Blend them, or cut them small enough to be able to swallow them without chewing.

I always wondered, when my Colleagues buy themselfs a salad.. Do they really enjoy it? Or do they only eat it because it's healthy..?

I need to know.. Do y'all like eating veggies? (excluding health benefits)

Im 33 and been smoking since I was 15. I've tried so many times to quit.

I dont like vaping, gum burns, those weird little plastic cig things didn't work, never tried patches so will give them a go. Ive tried distraction but as soon as im bored I want a smoke, I've tried food but I want to smoke after eating, I've tried replacements that give me something to do with my hands/mouth like lollipops etc no luck. I also feel once I decide I want to quit and then fail I'm smoking more than ever.

I want to start trying for a baby next year and I absolutely don't want to be a smoking mother or have to try to quit while pregnant. Help.

I am wanting to get a partner and I am not sure where to start.

I was thinking of dating apps but have heard that they are the perfect place for a hook up not for a serious relationship.

Has anyone had good experience on them for a long term relationship.

I'm the kind of person who notes down her dreams with the specific details and likes to talk about it. While I understand that my dreams are not real, my feelings and experiences are. What and how that dream made me feel is extremely real.

After half a decade, this man lets me know how he finds it childish and that I should stop talking about it so much. Now had I known earlier how he felt about my dreams, I wouldn't have talked to him about my dreams. Countless texts of 'I had a dream about you' and 'remind me to tell you about my dream'

I feel so ashamed and embarrassed right now! I thought telling someone about your dreams was normal. Especially when you have a dream about them, they must be special to you. This is why I used to ask him if he had any dreams the previous night.

I think what we have is a difference in topics of discussion but I find this emotionally isolating. I was too shocked to learn that it was not a safe space. I'm guilty of holding his dream self accountable for my feelings a couple of times max but I thought we were joking about it when he (fake) apologized for it.

And I get that listening to someone else's dreams can get boring quickly. It's just that I put in quite some effort into recollecting them and noting down the tiny details and telling him about it, so it feels disheartening to know that he's just not that into it.

To add clarity..inside of underwear have a liner of fabric in the crotch area. Why is said fabric only stitched shut on one side leaving a pocket?

I have always waved whenever someone lets me over as I’m driving. I RARELY see this happen. Is this not a thing anymore? I’m in my 30s..
