It has no lock and multiple stalls. I just don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable if I can avoid it.

I mean.... long periods of time without opening your mouth to emanate sound to communicate. I don't mean being in a vegetative state where you don't move or do anything. You can still move, swim at the lake, read a book, take a shower, watch a show, browse reddit, text your mom, clean, go jogging at the park, eat... etc... just no speech coming out of you. What is the longest you have done that?

and most important question: do you think it is a bad thing to go long periods (days) like that?

I realize I am becoming that type of person (I live alone) and wondering if it's something I should be worried about.

I know you guys are not medical doctors, just asking for your opinion on whether you think that is bad

In my country a 2 miles trip on uber would cost like 2.50$ (we use usd here) and out of curiosity i decided to check the same price on a random american city like nyc and it was 15-20$ for the same distance, how is that even considered reasonable?

I’ve seen so many threads, especially on AskMen about what men don’t like that women do and a lot of them say makeup. Well, Marylin Monroe was almost always wearing makeup…lots of it! She also bleached her hair from the start of her fame until her death, same with most of the old Hollywood bombshells. I also constantly see men referring to a celebrity they find so hot/beautiful and that celebrity is also very clearly wearing makeup. What’s up with this? Which is it? Do they just not like it when average, non famous women wear makeup?

I’m going to start rooming with other people soon but i number 2 much more frequently than others. At least once a day. I want to show which cleaning products or something i should buy that can get rid of the smell right after i finish. I don’t want my roommates thinking I’m a weirdo

I was at a bar that I don't usually go to with a few friends and the bartender was one of the most beautiful women that I've ever seen. She looked like 04' Angelina Jolie. I had a pint in me but still couldn't work up the courage to chat her up. It was a bit weird for me because I have no problem hitting on a random girl at the bar but for some reason, chatting up a bartender is so much more intimidating.

I (25F) have had many people recently tell me I look wholesome/cute/sweet/innocent. Because of this I thought I’d try some different makeup looks to accentuate my “cute” features instead of trying to do any sort of sultry/fox eye kind of makeup, and WTF. I noticed way more men saying mildly creepy things to me/staring at me. I hadn’t really noticed this ever before but I’m not sure if it’s because of the way I look or what. Idk just makes me feel a little weirded out I guess, I’m not sure if I’m just reading too much into this.

So I just wanna say, I'm a lover, but I always worry what if my future gf's brother (if she has one) thinks I'm just a perv and not with her for true love

I don't have a sister so I don't know how it is, but do men who have sisters assume that her bf is just a perv?

I'm a 43 yr old who has worked since I was 16 used to have the hope and ambition that I will be able to retire and enjoy the rest of my life. The way society in general has shifted in some weird direction I just don't see any other way but working until I die. God, I hate this timeline we're all in.

Might be obvious to some but I was genuinely curious. In the Quran it states " He has only forbidden you ˹to eat˺ carrion, blood, swine, and what is slaughtered in the name of any other than Allah. But if someone is compelled by necessity—neither driven by desire nor exceeding immediate need—they will not be sinful. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful" Holy Quran 2:173. I was curious if there was something that stated Hindus wouldn't be punished if there was nothing else to eat.

I’ve seen this as one of the most common arguments against large age differences in relationships or even friendships involving people who are still very young (usually under anywhere from 21/22 to 25). I understand/agree with most of the reasons why significant age gaps aren't appropriate until people reach a certain age (for dating only; I don’t think age differences in friendships are inherently wrong), but I don’t understand that one.

I’ve seen comments online saying that individuals with a 3 year age difference should hardly be able to relate to each other until they’ve both reached a specific age. However, when I was around 12-13, I knew someone in their 70s who had several of the same interests as me. A more recent example was around a year ago, when I was 18 and met someone who was 90 who I got along well with. People of all ages can have similar interests or hobbies and therefore have things in common.

Am I misinterpreting what people are trying to say when they comment this?

Am I being creepy, I just love watching people. I'll go to the park and sit on a bench then watch people walk by and watch whatever they are doing.

I see so much on the internet about how he hates the fame, how it has scarred him and how he just wants to be a regular dude.

And then a few months later he’s going on world tours, promoting albums and writing new music.

Do you think it’s just for the money or an addiction to the adulation?

Because if it’s purely financial, I’m sure with his level of fame and money he could easily just get someone to invest his cash and churn a profit (like Ashton Kutcher). And if it’s purely for the love of music, surely he could just become a behind the scenes producer (similar to Bruno Mars or Pharrel).

It kinda seems counterintuitive.

This one has always confused me. I don't want to be memorialized on the rear window of a 2003 Corolla.

You sometimes see Americans claim that people risk their lives coming to America and that they ONLY want to come to America.

Have these people seen the immigration situation here in Europe? It's also not unheard of Americans coming here, we have about 9 million Americans in Europe back in 2019.

So yesterday I accidently sent something on messenger to a girl who I've known for like 9-10 years. Never really been attracted to her and always just seen her as a friend. I never really spoke too much to her, but a lot of my friends are good friends with her. After I sent that message by mistake we got to talking a bit and then it was the end of it. However later that evening I got really drunk with my friends and I met her in the clubs and we talked a bit again, and late at night while being really drunk we texted for like 1 hour about our exes and stuff. Apparently she just got out of a relationship and so did I. The thing is now we're gonna be hanging out on sunday, which is kind of a date.

I do find her attractive nowadays, but I feel like it's so weird because I've known her for so long, and I told my friend and he said it was really weird that I was going to do this. Is this actually really weird and how do I tell her that I don't wanna do it afterall?

I often see comedy skits where a woman gets angry at her partner because she had a dream about him cheating. For me it sounds kinda ridiculous but I keep seeing it over and over in comedy videos etc. Is it just a dumb stereotype or a joke or some women actually do that?

Recently my husband got mad at me. He wanted to spend money we didn’t have to go visit his sister out of town when we had bills to pay and we were headed that way in a few weeks anyway. I didn’t say no…we just have no money and I wanted him to wait. I can’t even but my kids what they need and he wants to go on a trip. Now he won’t speak to me. He barely acknowledges that I’m in the room. Its been a week. He will only talk to me through text and thats only necessary things (kids and bills). He does this often and I can’t take it anymore. How do I handle the silent treatment? I usually keep trying to talk to him until he makes me apologize…but I just don’t have it in me anymore and I don’t know what to do.

lately it's been very hard for me to feel motivated to do basic things like eat, shower, brush my teeth, or even get out of bed.

maybe im just lazy, but for some reason im never able to get myself out of bed at times, i just feel like im only existing without any purpose at all. showering too, for a few weeks ive been showering once or twice only. i feel disgusted about this fact too, and about how im underweight and still barely eat anything, but im never motivated enough to actually do something about it.

is there any way to get myself to do it? do i just have to fight through this 'laziness'?

I'd appreciate it if anyone who's gone through similiar feelings could share their insights as well.

I asked someone if they had a girlfriend. They said ‘not at this moment. 3 minutes to yesterday’.

What does that mean?

Thanks!
