GOG has a preservation program and while its not directly a remaster of X or Y game they pretty much make them work for moderns systems. MEC is on the list and loads of others! Even if you are a Steam Only person, GOG lets you actually keep the games, you can burn them on a disc and everything. Vote for it here: Mirror's Edge Catalyst Dreamlist | GOG.COM
