Mobile Suit Gundam

So episode 1 was introducing the characters, with a disjointed cliffhanger post-credits. Episode 2 started off with a flashback, then "I'll tell you everything." And episode 3 is plot armor helps prove that gunpla is ~~freedom~~ friendship. That's it. The rest is fanservice cameos.

What a nothingburger. Even going in with low expectations didn't help. Feels like a waste of good designs.

The colour scheme is inspired by the fact that he was knocked out of the playoffs in the first round. Everything else was "inspired" by the spare parts I had lying around.

So... Bandai included CAD files for unreleased gunpla in the early access version of their metaverse software. Someone has already printed the MG for the new Freedom kit. And even though it was patched out, the installer has now been pulled completely from Bandai's site.

Neat.

This is a 15 minute evisceration. My jaw dropped at the system requirements and my forehead is bruised from the facepalming. The entire thing reeks of a C-suite stuffed suit being Very Smart and jumping on trends that either never happened or flopped two years after the fact.

Also, the "shopping" just opens the P-Bandai site in a browser window. Linked in my previous post. 🤦‍♂️

Apparently these went live at 11pm ET last night, but you need to filter by Campaign > Gundam Next Future.

Eggshell Grandpa has been around for a while. Lau is definitely new. I believe the rest are as well.

Decent sized drop this week. The RG XN Raiser and HG Witch From Mercury option parts are new, everything else I believe is a reprint.

Does anyone know if PB did an effect parts set for the standard RG Nu? Or was it only included in the special edition of the regular release? This is the second or third time they've put the Hi Nu set up for order.

I used to be indifferent to the Black Tri-Stars (the Ocean dub made them out to be yokels on top of being bad guy of the week for Amuro to dunk on), but eventually I came across their Zaku I and II customs and fell in love. At some point I learned about what absolute terrors they were to the Federation fleet during the OYW. It cast their OG appearance in a different light for me. I am 100% a fan now.

Just finished watching the first episode. It's basically a commercial for the sketchy real-life metaverse project, but that was kind of assumed going in. (Build Fighters wasn't hurt in the least by being a Gunpla commercial.) The animation looks great, as do the new characters. The Divers team seems aged down(?!?) from their initial appearance, which is weird because of how young they were to begin with. The suits are pretty standard for Build, doubly so since a lot of them are based off of legacy Build designs. Looking forward to a better look at the antagonist suit from the post credits scene.

In all, it's about what I've come to expect from Build. Let's see where it goes. If anyone has any thoughts or impressions, I'd love to hear them.

Also: AloHaro is life. That is all.

I was NOT expecting that. It's enormous. And gives me hope for a future standard Wodom (from Turn A, not the mini one from Build Divers). Link is to BBTS because that's where I caught the news. I don't see anything on Gundam.Info yet.

Not sure if any of it is new. Would love to get that MG Marasai but I know it's just going to sit in the backlog. Same with that awesomely audacious Age Magnum.

It's not often that PB actually has something listed that's in stock. Scrolling through, looks like there's both HG Qubeleys along with the Strike Dagger and option parts set if you want something to make the shipping charge (flat $10) sting less.

Even if you're not a fan of his review style (save some superlatives for the rest of us dude), the intro is worth watching. I was not expecting that.

I'm a long time Gundam fan boy, got started on Wing on Toonami as a kid and then 0079, G, and a few other series. But I had never gotten around to watching anything after the one year war in the UC timeline, until now.

The lines are so blurred. Zaku's launching from Fed ships? Titans beating up on Capt. Bright of all people. Char has assumed a fake identity in the AEUG faction to continue fighting for his ideals. OH YEA AND WHAT ABOUT THE FEDS GASSING AN ENTIRE COLONY. The whole thing is a giant mess and I love it. Camille legitimately makes me frustrated so much and I love that he just keeps getting slapped multiple times every episode.

I personally love the spacenoid sentiment that since they have the technology to live off of earth, they wish to do so and let earth return to its natural processes.

Side note, if anyone wants to talk about the series with me here, please avoid spoilers, I'm only about 9 episodes in currently.
