Ajax and Arsenal have reached an agreement on the transfer of Jurriën Timber. The Ajax contract of the defender ran until June 30, 2025. Ajax and the English club agreed on a € 40 million transfer fee. That amount can increase to € 45 million through variables.

Timber (Utrecht, June 17, 2001) played in Ajax's youth academy since 2014. On March 7, 2020, he made his debut for the first team during the match sc Heerenveen - Ajax: 1-3. The Dutch national player played 121 official matches for the first team and scored six goals.

Together with Ajax, Timber won the Eredivisie twice (2021 and 2022) and won the Dutch Cup once (2021).

Fijn dat hij volgend seizoen dan dus waarschijnlijk zal kunnen meespelen, al is het maar een halve wedstrijd ipv 90 minuten.

Dit is de vijfde PEC-speler die vertrekt en met het begrotingstekort maak ik als PEC-supporter zorgen over komend seizoen. Ik betwijfel ten zeerste dat er een eredivisie-waardig team kan worden neergezet...

In Eindhoven is de eerste stap gezet om Thomas Beelen speler van PSV te maken. De club heeft zich met een bod van 2,5 miljoen euro gemeld bij PEC Zwolle, dat niet akkoord ging.

I was thinking of making a small bot that would use an RSS feed of a news source (such as NOS Voetbal) and automatically post articles here. The only thing that bothers me is that it would automatically post in Dutch, so I would need some kind of translation API to translate it to English.

Ik zat te denken om een bot te maken die automatisch nieuwsartikelen van voetbalmedia zoals NOS Voetbal te posten in deze community. Hier zou gebruik worden gemaakt van een RSS-feed, maar het enige dat me nog dwars zit is dat de bot waarschijnlijk de titels niet zal gaan vertalen, waardoor de titels in het Nederlands en niet in het Engels worden gepost.
