Gideon Ofnir was a prideful man, believing himself worthy to be among the heights of the All-Knowing. To that end, he spread his eyes across the Lands Between, to watch the happenings, to locate the Demigods hidden away from plain sight. He had the makings of a lord, but he was just another of the myriad Tarnished, however wisened he may or may not have been. He was no better, nay, worse.

Fanart of Vyke as the Fool tarot card. Vyke was featured prominently in much of Elden Ring's promotional material, and is said to have been the Tarnished that was the closest to claiming the Elden Ring.

However, unable to access the Erdtree due to the unyielding thorns, and unwilling to allow his Maiden to burn as kindling, he disappeared beneath Leyndell to seek the Three Fingers. Whether by his own will or by the coaxing of another, though, is unclear.

Last year, I spent several months working on these Elden Ring tarot cards! I made 22 of them, one for each of the major arcana! This is just a low res preview of cards as a whole!

I'll probably begin posting the cards individually in the next few days! Keep an eye out for your favorite cards, or your favorite characters!

If you'd like to see them ahead of time, you can also find them on my Deviant Art or Artstation along with my other work!

Bringing the RL138 Banished Exile build down to RL80 with a twist using lightning-infused weaponry and a focus on dexterity. This build offers a comfortable claymore playstyle that blends lightning damage with swift its poise breaking and piercing move set.

I am coming from Reddit and while currently dead, this seemed to be the largest Elden Ring community. So to kick-start the resurrection, here's what even Reddit called my most-returned-to-post. This thing has been open as a tab in my browser for a year now.

In 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released and is generally considered one of the greatest games of all time. The game had a surprisingly big impact on the industry by introducing a new genre: true open world games.

In short, a true open world game is where you're dropped into a world and can go in any direction you want. The game is more minimalist than most, there are no quest markers or level scaling and you're not forced to go in a specific direction. You're free to explore the world without having a sense of direction, tackling its challenges and discovering new things at your own pace and in any order.

And now a new challenger comes in: Elden Ring. This game takes BotW as its inspiration and (imo) really excels where the other one lacks. There are so many unique events and interesting places in the world, with interesting rewards and an awesome sense of scale. I looooove finding caves and catacombs and having no idea what rewards are inside, whether it's a cool set of armor, new spells, spirits, or maybe some talismans. Not all the rewards are useful obviously, but they usually find a way to be interesting (like a talisman that makes you stronger around poison). It just genuinely feels like you're exploring a world for the first time, something I never felt in other open world games.

Dark souls is also my favorite series of all time so I might be a bit biased lmao

What do you think of this new genre/trend? Are you a fan of these new types of open world games or do you prefer the older ones like Far Cry 3? Do you prefer more linear games? I wonder which company is going to try this next.

What a ridiculously difficult boss. I currently have a full melee build and I had to use every cheese in the book to beat him.

OpenCritic and MetaCritic both have ridiculously high aggregate scores for it. Early reviews tend to generally be higher but an average 97 score from 95 critics is probably the best I have ever seen.

I am reading that it is easier to get into compared to other From Software titles. When playing the network test I didn't get this feeling. But either way I highly recommend giving the game a try if you haven't played a Souls game before. It is an entirely new story and the lore from what I am hearing is very rich. And the gameplay is tight as always. If you don't want to buy you can even pirate it once it has been released provided your PC can run it. I don't think it is using Denuvo.
