'Golden flow' by David Munro

A few rays of sunshine hit the glacier waters as they make their way across a huge delta of ice, sand, lava fields and volcanic ash.

Taken from a helicopter doors-off flight.

Inside SAHMRI by David Munro

Looking up (with a decent wide angle lens) in the foyer of SAHMRI - The South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute.

This unique facility houses 600 researchers across 7 main health themes and has established strong and productive collaborations across the three Universities in the State.

The SAHMRI building itself is also very unique and a standout of modern architecture providing a flexible, adaptable, healthy and sustainable facility. Its certainly a bold statement in a town better known for its conservative buildings.

The locals have knicknamed [sic] it 'The Cheesegrater' [sic] due to its iconic shape and windows. I've been meaning to do a tour here for a few years now and finally did so today. Definitely worth the visit.

So, I've been posting fairly regularly on here, and I'd just like to ask for some views/comments/feedback on the Community....

  • Do you want to see more detailed stuff- spotlight on a particular photographer, info plus their photos?

  • What do you think of the mega posts? Are they too long/boring/difficult to view on mobile etc?

  • Are you happy with the content?

  • Any suggestions/ideas etc

Please be mindful that I do this in my own time and it can be (sometimes) laborious putting things together, also can you keep any criticism constructive

Don't be shy, I appreciate your input in keeping this going, and any ideas for different types of posts

Cheers!

My favourite piece of London's architecture, well modern at least, The Gherkin at St Mary Axe, in the heart of the self acclaimed Insurance district of the City of London.

.....Hidden away at Lorrimore Square in South London is St Paul's Church, which I came across during September's Open House weekend. The church is a small but remarkable Grade II-listed building built in the late 1950s after the original church burned down during the second world war. Replacing the original 19th-century Victorian Gothic style is an innovative post-war design by John Wimbleton of architect practice Woodroffe, Buchanan & Coulter, built from a mixture of brick, copper and rubble stone from the old church.....
