Basically the two questions, downloaded the prebuilt binary from the official site linked here and Windows Defender freaked out. Uploaded to virustotal and got like 20 positives. Figured I'd build from source but the build process needs Admin rights which is just raising all sorts of flags for me. Since when does a build process need admin? Edit: That's kinda a tautological answer to why it needs admin privs: because it requests them. I know why GenP itself needs them, but why do the build scripts?

So I'm installing GenP/Adobe apps install on my new laptop and had a question. Do we have to login on most Adobe apps to use them properly? Such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition etc.

I think I remember Acrobat Pro doesn't need to be, but I couldn't remember the others and can't find it in the GenP guide.

Hi all. Been trying to download the latest GenP (3.6.8) to update my apps, but it keeps coming up with this error whenever I try. Any idea why this is happening? I turned off Real-time Protection in Windows Security and my VPN is off.

I was having trouble yesterday with Photoshop and the Accept Terms popup. Updating hosts wouldn't work, so I used the WinTrust method, which solved the issue👌 Should I still maintain an up-to-date hosts file? Or does the WinTrust method eliminate the need for hosts? I applied the WinTrust method to all of the apps that I use to avoid any future popups.

My first post to GenP, so just wanted to say thanks so much for all that you guys do, your efforts are greatly appreciated! 👍

I continue to get this error when I try to open Indesign. I tried searching for this error here, but I couldn't find anything so I would like to know what I should do.

Your guide says any temp mail service would work. But actually no, when trying to register for adobe creative cloud, no temp mail is working at all. Probably you know a free way without spoiling my real mail?

edit: ok this worked for me: 1timeemail.com (zmail.cam)

I had this issue earlier today and completely got rid of any adobe apps from my pc using the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool and follow the GenP instructions. I then redone the GenP instructions and made sure to patch AdobeCreativeCloud, install the apps, made sure not to install AdobeGenuineSoftware and patched the installed apps. Even though I followed the instructions, the popup is still appearing. Is there any fix for this?

Hi folks, is there a way to download Acrobat from official site and afterwards patch it with GenP or I need to search torrent forums ?

Thanks

As the title says, Photoshop Remove Tool no longer requires Generative AI credits, but it still doesn't work for me.

Does it work for anyone else?

Thank you

Hi, this is my first time posting on anything like lemmy and yk what. I have not seen any posts regarding this issue, so I would like to know if I am the only one experiencing it and what steps I can take to resolve it; I pressed 'try again', and in less than a minute, it pops back up.

I've previously never had any issues with installing GenP and patching Adobe to get it to work but recently the patches haven't worked so I've tried "☢️ GUIDE #4 - NOTHING IS WORKING / FULL CLEANING" but it doesn't seem to work.

The folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common) doesn't seem to exist whenever I try Guide 4 and retry the whole Adobe download process and patch.

Anybody able to help, is this an Adobe issue or GenP one?

Im asking cause maybe a month or two ago I tried to upgrade and I found that it completely broke my H265 ability and i had to downgrade to Premiere 25.1.0 - Did something change in these versions past this?

I oringlaly installed the H265 codec via microsoft store and it works fine right now but worried to upgrade

I haven't used GenP in a while, but I needed to use it today and in the most recent release it mentions a new URL/domain/website. The site distributes GenP along with its source code.

Is this an official site? If yes, will it be added to the wiki? (if not, why?)

Does this mean the source code for 3.6.5 is already public?
