Same. In winter it doubles as a pocket heater. Summer is worse, I wish electronics could also feasibly convert waste heat to cooling, but physics be like “yea, nah”.

give it time. If we continue the parallelism arc to the nazi regime it took years since Hitlers party came to power, started rounding up people into concentration camps and until people saw through censorship (if they didn’t internally denied it as they denied the knowledge after they were asked)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knowledge_of_the_Holocaust_in_Nazi_Germany_and_German-occupied_Europe?wprov=sfti1

Also, propaganda and censorship is a hell of a drug

Edit: grammar and also a disclaimer: I would rather see it wouldn’t go as far as during WW2

I worked on that a bit! Never realized it had such a crossover potential. Also considering how physicists cant stand biologists and probably vice versa.

wait, but it does, I just watched it, you just have to skip to the last 10 secs of the almost 4min vid

Can you really understand zero? I mean, I get what it represents, but I still sometimes struggle to understand its usage...like, you can’t divide with zero thats for sure, but did you know you can divide a number with a really small number (like an infinitely small number) and you get a really large number (like infinitely large)? So, in that special space, if you suddenly replace “0” with a “number-so-close-to-zero-it-can-smell-it” feel free to divide and conquer, and get infinity.

Oh, and sometimes, if you feel like math is letting you down, remember, you can always use positive and negative zeroes, so your math-thing can now work!

...and you will be so happy for a few moments before you realize the machine never returned you back all your blood. You realize the machine never intended to give it back as you slowly fade into eternal slumber.

I have dumped like 30 of them into trash recently because I tend to sometimes replace/repair phone parts for people and if you buy a replacement part it comes with this thing.

I don’t know who here likes Horizon games, but I like how many parallels the writers put in the game that reflect the state of the world.

::: spoiler a bit of a game spoiler

Like the whole premise of the story is exactly what this article mentioned: a multi billionaire CEO with a god complex completely wiped out the entire human database to erase any information of how he destroyed the world to protect his ego and image. Also why the new world is basically just bronze age level tribes.

"palacinky/palačinky" in Slovak/Czech which is same as some people here said in german “Palatschinken”. The thick ones like they make in northern America with butter and maple syrup we call “lívance” here. I want to try those Japanese ones tho
