And this is your reminder that this series is being made to enrich known transphobe JK Rowling and take away money from the original cast members who stood up to her about her hate. Any money she gets from this series literally goes to lobbying against trans rights in the UK (see the recent court decision she funded, as well as her setting up an independent fund for further cases).

If you give any money to watch this series you cannot pretend to support trans rights!

Hey, cis (bi) wife to a trans woman here, I can comment a little bit. I always was out as bi (leaning towards women) in my relationship, so that was pretty chill for both of us. My wife didn't know exactly where she was going to end up sexuality wise, but has settled into bi as well. It's a little scary to shake things up in a long-standing relationship that way! My wife and I are doing great, but I definitely have had friends in a similar situation get divorced, even when the non-transitioning partner is bi or pan. Good communication is important, so I would encourage regular check ins, even about the sensitive stuff.

Not to defend the US on pretty much anything, but there's basically tiers of chocolate. Low quality mass produced chocolate (hershey's, kit kat, etc) is almost always waxy, overly sweet, and sometimes has that weird butyric acid additive. Mid tier is like your Ghirardelli: popular nationally but more expensive than your low tier chocolate, still often quite sweet but you can at least get dark chocolate. High tier is usually regional artisan chocolate. I like Theo in the PNW but I think that's going national lately.

All of this is NOT a recommendation to buy these chocolates of course. Go get Tony's Chocolonely if you can find it.

Not a valid excuse, at least

I'm obviously not talking about being a dick to billionaires, I'm talking about harassing a burnt out instance owner

Being an anarchist isn't an excuse to be a dick y'know.

The niche coffee scene in the US uses them, they are excellent for pour overs, French press, etc. But they are not widely popular since dedicated coffee machines are most commonly used.

I did read your comment, that is why I responded the way I did. If you can't link that minorities are the ones affected by racism, I don't think that you should be commenting on racial politics in the US.

Have you considered that your perspective on the matter could be skewed by your own inability to take critique maturely? Most adults are able self-reflect and grow as people from interactions with others of differing perspectives. It's only a small percentage who react violently, and frankly, they are bullies who should not be catered to.

Nothing quite like logging onto lemmy and reading the most "if minorities were nicer then people would be less racist" victim blaming comment. No, there is no world in which minorities rolling over and gently teaching misguided racists gets them equal rights. We have a systemic issue in the US where the right has been defunding education and pushing vitriolic rhetoric for decades. Minorities should not need to prove their humanity at every turn just to stay alive, nevertheless participate in politics.
