How about no. We should not embrace any economic ties whatsoever with nations who are idealogically and politically incompatible with our own.

Sure, but we don’t “need” anything above our basic survival cost, let’s go live on the Savannah and hunt our food again.

For me the problem are those who hoard wealth, who don’t earn a salary but sit and live off their massive pile of accumulated wealth. We need a wealth tax now.

Carney is just picking his battles. The DST is not a bill worth dying on, I’d rather he comes out ahead in the overall negotiations.

Sure, but they aren’t the people who were there centuries ago… those people are long dead. And anyway the Cree themselves weren’t the original settlers of Alberta, they expanded westward because of the fur trade and took a lot of land from the Blackfoot, Stoney and Dene people….

The Cree have no more right to the land than anyone else born in Alberta.

I’m frustrated to the point where I want the NDP to either merge with the Liberals or pledge to be a permanent coalition until electoral reform is passed, and they should make their support contingent on that making real progress.

It is going to be a minority government so I think an election sooner is likely.

Obviously he should. Having a match, which is a genuine threat to the other man’s life, is the only thing that will give him a seat at the table.

You mean like the shit power dynamic of a party always forming a majority government with only 40% of the vote?

This is why Trump made such a big deal about getting those Covid cheques with his name on it. Because the messaging and education matters a lot more than the actual policy.

People would 100% remember getting a carbon cheque from Justin Trudeau. No one even knows what the fuck a CAIP is.
