Brave Search released a feature a which lets you customize search results. It's always a bit of a hassle searching for gear which is either made in NZ or ships to NZ, so I had a go at making one which prioritises outdoors gear which is made here (or failing that, is sold here).

You can test it here

Disclaimer: I work at Brave, though not on the search team

Hope it's all good - did mine (pretty mildly) this time last year and it was easily 4 or 5 months before it felt back to normal.

Take it easy!

How'd you pull that off?

Presumably this is funded by the $15 they charge me every time I drive up the road :D

Sorry for all the spam, having a travelling day and reading more than normal.

In this case, it isn't the government spending the money though - it's a lobbying group for the agricultural industry.

Yeah exactly - he made it much easier to take the Greens seriously, and he managed to get a fair bit done. One of my favourite politicians, by far.

James Shaw was great! I really like Chloe Swarbrick too, but I feel like Todd Mueller makes some good points about Shaw striving for consensus and working across the aisle. Hope the Greens can keep it after he's gone.

Hard to feel too sorry for him :D

We bivy'd out - I got woken up in the night by a Kea pecking my toes. They're definitely cheekier than Kea in other bits of the country 🤣

Reposted - not sure how to cross post on Lemmy 🤣

(oh, found the button, too late 🤷 )

Its actually not too bad, especially in Summer when the weather is good. I think a lot of the accidents are from Winter, with bad avalanche conditions, or when it's wet/icey - I know there have been a few skiiers caught out (even when there's only a little snow). Definitely not anything near a mountaineering route.

Lovely walk though (and great views down the Matukituki)!

Tassie is more about the adventure climbing. If you want bouldering in Australia the Grampians are meant to be pretty sick, and there's some good stuff in Sydney & the Blue Mountains.

You could also come boulder in Castle Hill, across the ditch in NZ
