I am a big TLK fan so I opted to get a Keychron K8 - it's got bluetooth, solderless replaceable switches, VIA keymapping, RGB LED lighting etc.
Overall I'm very pleased with the keyboard for the price

Just don't subscribe. When netflix pissed me off, I unsubscribed. When Adobe moved to a subscription based platform, I forced myself to learn alternative applications (although I still have a copy of Adobe Creative Suite from 2003 which I am still using on old laptop when needed). When Microsoft started charging a subscription to use "office" apps, I switched to LibreOffice. During Covid when I wasn't using my gym membership I cancelled it and used that $75/month savings to start building a home gym setup (it ain't great, but its better than nothing!)
If something is a subscription, I either find an alternative program/service, or simply don't use it.
Yeah sounds like a great idea in theory. But just imagine a bacteria with an heavy appetite for plastics escapes from the laboratory and starts consuming plastics. Imagine how much of a vehicle is plastic, or your clothes, etc. That could get ugly real fast.
Squabbles was fun when everyone first migrated from reddit during the blackout. But activity has died way down. I try to add some content here and there - but it's still mostly a ghost town with few regular people posting often (one of which is the programmer themself constantly posting content).
I hope Squabbles succeeds, but I'm finding Kbin a lot more active and exciting to visit regularly
I don't need student debt relief, it won't affect me. But I am extremely for it - it's called wanting a better life for your fellow human being.
Compassion - it's not a difficult concept if you're not a narcissistic a$$hole.
And as an added bonus, the money currently going to banks would actually get better distributed to businesses (both big and small) and act as a net gain to our economy. But screw that - we don't want some bank stocks to dip and affect some wealthy pension plans! /s
They've become so focused on political "points" and afraid of the other "team" scoring a "point" that they're willing to do anything, regardless of the optics.
Because they don't stop and look at the bigger picture - it's just political capital they can push around or dangle as a carrot in front of voters for future elections.
You're f*cking human like everyone else. Real talk - most people don't pay attention to other people half as much as you think. Imagine your last trip out to the grocery store - do you remember what everyone wore that walked past you? Of course not. You're more self-conscious of your looks than anyone else.
Who the hell cares if you "pass" or not in your mind. Stop doubting yourself and be who you want to be.
It takes massive courage to step up to society and say "this is who I am." - so many people in society can't. You're a bad-a$$ for being brave enough to take that leap. Why stop now? People like myself admire you for being yourself. Rock it!
Please stop beating yourself up - I know society wants you to doubt yourself but stop.
510 is such a weird number. Did they just take “420” and shuffle a one from the 2 over to the 4?
Nope - just like how an 18650 battery is 18mm in diameter, and 65.0mm long, a 510 battery threading is 5mm diameter, and 10 threads (per millimeter I think?)
Pretty sure you forgot the /s
Remember, sarcasm doesn't translate well on the internet.
Did you read the article I linked to? This guy was NOT a loyal republican. He was a hardcore anti-trump long-time democrat.
Apparently something "clicked" in his head back in 2019 and he made a HARD right turn which totally shocked everyone who knew him.
Thanks, kbin uses the @ symbol instead of ! to link to communities/magazines :-)
Thank you - that's the money shot I wanted to see.
