Title

Hello all,

I'm always looking for more globally-focused music channels and playlists. Stuff from places and languages beyond just the Anglo world. Anyone got some good recommendations?

For example, stuff like the ultradiskopanorama channel, or the youtube playlist trying to get songs from all languages. Thanks in advanced!

As another comment mentioned, this article is just over a year old.

However, the stage government reiterated it's intent to transition to open source software just a few days ago Google Translated link

Title. There's just some websites I want to permanently blacklist for my DuckDuckGo searches, and don't want to type in a boolean function every time I search something.

Trumpcession inbound?

An interesting find. Definitely more primitive than a lot of the stuff people come up with nowadays, but interesting to see a project shaped by a very different perspective. Creator said the project started in the late 1960s(!)

Includes a variety of statistics on the size, time, and nature of massacres, as well as an interactive map

Local subreddits can really bring out the worst ghouls possible. Dozens of comments on this one celebrating and laughing at a 15 year old boy in critical condition because muh easily replaceable property...

Also includes comments hoping for a lengthy prison sentence, or just for his outright death, with one (at the time of posting) specifically calling for his hanging...

Oh, and of course, the most downvoted comment is one telling people to cool it with their freakish death fantasies. We're so cooked...

Interesting video specifically on the disappointing state of public transport in India. Major takeaways for me:

  • Many Indian cities are investing in (expensive and flashy) metros, which are posting disappointing ridership numbers, but
  • Most Indian commuters are travelling distances short enough that biking or using rickshaws are quicker
  • India's metros are significantly more expensive for riders than other methods of transport
  • Bus fleets in Indian cities aren't growing, while their populations are expanding rapidly
  • Traffic engineers/policymakers suffering from carbrain (sound familiar?)

Interesting watch, I'd say, as a non-Indian who doesn't see much content about the world's most populous country posted much

The onions, he noted, “were tasty.”

Would love to get into the head of the editor who decided to include this line
