Sexist bullshit movie.

Where in the study did they wrote that?

Yeah, I don't know. I feel much more sorry for the girls and women who get hit by that hatred. And they definitely do. Online and sometimes offline as well. I see it in school (in Germany) how some boys as young as 12 already bought into the incel narratives and treat the girls accordingly. This has to be stomped out.

She was an old woman in the democratic party. That's three things a lot of people on the internet hate. Since most agree she was a politician not fit for her job anymore they can go all out with the insults without getting too much backlash.

I have no idea who this person is, but the vitriol and hatred I see towards the person is extreme online. Especially a lot of sexist slurs like "bitch", "cunt", etc.

What do you mean? Sorry, I don't understand how I am moving the goalpost.

Wasn't the trouble some people had with the drag queen shows the dances? I don't know the situation in the US(?), but that's what some people disliked about some of the shows in Germany.

Here is a video of one of these shows that was a program for kindergarden kids: https://youtu.be/p2zsZHb_Y7E?feature=shared

It's dishonest to leave it out of the discussion when people didn't have a problem with the clothing in the first place.

I am no pro in pedagogy or whatever. Not sure if that's super harmful or whatever tale the alt right tried to spin. But it's definitely not just some people with a cleavage or other types of sexy clothes.

Just checked and can't believe it only got 40 %. Perhaps it's because it was too close to the Matrix hype at the time. In my friend group we even called all these movies "vermatrixt".

When people accept something happening in a male character they do not accept in a female character that is at least sexist. If Rey was male perhaps there still would have been some whining, but the sheer amount of angry men tears online over Rey being too good is in part due to her being a woman.

Can you give a few examples of which IPs have been "re-written"? Rey for example is the protagonist in the new Star Wars movies. They weren't remakes of the old ones. And Galadriel was always that powerful.

Why is it woke when female or "minority" characters are this way but not when white male characters are this way? Your points describe the majority of movies featuring a male white protagonist.

And how is Galadriel not the way she is described in the original IP?

I wonder why people didn't lose their mind over that Lego movie being political. Why is "average Joe is the real hero when he just lets go of restrictive norms" not a political statement? But "Barbie is the hero in her own movie by abolishing restrictive norms" is woke/political?

Are you all building something currently?

This is my current base in Planet Crafter. You can't really make the interior nice in that game, imho, but I like the overall look and feel.

Just stumbled over this and it's apparently a completely free game where you can care for a Pixel Cat. It's hosted on itch.io, the developer is Loaf Labs.

This is the link to the game: https://loaflabs.itch.io/cat-cove-inn

Have fun!
