I mean yea, non consenting chemical alteration of someone's mental state is a messed up thing, accidental or not. For someone not expecting it, or not used to it, you will likely think you're sick. That could be distressing. It could be dangerous if that person were, say, headed off to work (nurse, doctor, crane operator, taxi driver, office worker on commute), or had been avoiding cannabis due to family history of psychosis, or has a damaged immune system and now fears they've caught something, we also feed pizza to kids.

Most probably nothing grim will come of this, and the jokes are fine I think, but we all should understand that this is serious.

So, their simulations suggest its the microbes, but without more study we don't know if it's us causing it directly or natural sources (and they can't rule out anthropogenic influences on natural sources either). So, don't let anyone tell you this proves humans aren't driving climate change or methane emissions, because that's not what it says.

What if I want to get sick?

Anyone else would already have been sentenced. Lady Justice clearly peaked out from behind the blindfold.

Loss of life would be tragic, of course, awful. I think people could be put in the very real, very dangerous situation where they've been abandoned by the captured court, and the fascists are installing themselves on a perversion of the law, and the freedom of all Americans is at stake. Not just freedom, like we've seen with abortion bans, and increasingly violent rhetoric, it will be lives at stake.

When you've been put in that position what can you do? The courts won't care, the republicans won't care, and if they take over like this it will be permanent. Dark fucking days ahead.

And let's not pretend a coup in America wouldn't have ramifications abroad either.

An actual coup like this would deserve an actual counter coup in response. Whatever form that takes.
