It seems doable. Assuming you're working off these instructions (https://newstitchaday.com/tunisian-ocean-stitch/), skip the +2 in the starting chain and for the return pass just repeat 'yo through 4 loops, ch2' from the start.
That said...this might be a stitch that'll be completely one color in the round, since the chained return pass is hidden. My sample only has color since it's so loose. Tan is the forward pass, green is the return pass.
I kept the multiple of 10 recommended. This was with 20 chained and then I wrapped around and started picking up loops for the second row. Or uh, first real row after the chains.
