How likely is it that this is because he is about to do some REALLY unpopular shit and wants to crack down on the resulting protests?

Thing is, for the Russians, Ukraine ceding territory is only to start negotiations and a ceasefire. They will not accept a deal without no NATO and Disarmament

There is an increasing amount of dismissal about the potential of BRICS

Was true some weeks ago but basically Trump is wishing a stronger BRICS into existence by using tariffs to bring them closer together.

A month ago it was more unimaginable that Brazil would be leading the anti-US dialogue and even less, that fucking Modi would be meeting with Xi lmao.

Basically the right wing in the country is taking L after L after Miguel Uribe kicked the bucket and Alvaro Uribe (not related but shittier) is now in house arrest.

Colombian president Gustavo Petro on Twitter:

I publicly transmit my order, as commander of the armed forces of Colombia. Colombia and Venezuela are the same people, the same flag, the same history.

Any military operation that lacks the approval of our brother nations is an aggression against Latin America and the Caribbean. It is a fundamental contradiction to our principle of Liberty. Liberty or death—Bolívar's cry—and the people rose up.

Considering Trump's threats about using military force on Venezuela and Mexico, my understanding is that Petro is threatening to use the Colombian army as support for Venezuela's army in the event of military action from the US. How much support or how politically feasible this can be, I'm not sure, but I don't think he can do that much to support Venezuela in the event of US military action due to internal politics.

Still, I think it's a positive, if bold, move, and also I don't really think Venezuela needs much support in the event of military action. The Venezuelan people would absolutely rally around the flag in that event, since Venezuela's rhetoric has been consistently about US anti-imperialism, in a similar fashion to what you would hear from the DPRK.

Broke: Communist Drumpf

Woke: JDPON Don

Basically title. I want to retake meditation since I need to get a hold of my escapism and bad habits to change them and be more healthy mentally for the revolution.

However, upon reading Mindfulness in Plain English by Bhante Gunaratana, it mentions how meditation should eventually dissolve any wants and cravings in the mind and try to meditate for hours every day and I can't help but think that this is something that will try to make you be a bit numb to the pains of injustice, since it sounds like being dissociated from the world.

Is there a revolutionary way to think about meditation?

What can they realistically do in that region?

Apparently the Armenians have fully cucked and accepted the Zangezur corridor, which will be named "Trump corridor 🤮". This is a sextuple whammy against BRICS in which:

  1. Iran is now locked from Russia by land from Armenia.
  2. The Caspian sea can now house NATO assests
  3. Turkey now has a link to mainland Azerbaiyan, increasing its influence in the region dramatically.
  4. Azerbaiyan can now sign the Abraham accords, and it's likely to sign into NATO.
  5. China can get locked out of the BRI through the corridor.
  6. The CSTO has been highly neutered.

Bad news all around, on that front.

I guess it's one of the ways in which capital maintains its own checks and balances, but it's very hard how, as contradictions heighten, your family that at some point might have ignored what you say, now will ostracize you for your views.

My parents have called me saying that me supporting Petro (a socdem at best) is akin to supporting murderers and thieves and they won't support me with that (which ofc I think the same about the people they support, but I won't antagonize them over it cause I know they won't change their views).

Now it's a sister of mine, married to an american, that considers that my criticisms of gringos also applies to her husband (which, to a point but not really).

I'm now understanding that there is a non zero chance that I will end up shunned out of my family altogether at some point.

Some friends and acquaintances have also cut contact from their end and some from my end.

Basically, being a communist means you will very likely lose a good percentage of your initial social network. It's probably one of the ways that capital maintains its control on society, forcing you to choose between community or your ideals, while you build a new leftist community (which is likely to be ostracized from their families as well).

And I'm not alone, my comrades in the area in which I organize are basically in the same position. In most of their families they don't know they are in the communist party for fear of their reactions. Or in the case of one of them, they consider it will be a phase they grow out of.

It's exhausting but enlightening to see how the left continues to be attacked through so many mechanisms.

Took them long enough.

Post them now. Maybe in the future things will start, dare I say, ~~happening~~.

Time is on the side of the Russians in Ukraine and the Chinese on pretty much anything else when it comes to confronting the US empire.

But ever since the ceasefire in Lebanon and the fall of Assad I can't help but feel that the Palestinian cause is getting worse every day. No one is lifting a finger for them except the Yemenis and it only seems that the Zionist fucks are getting closer to their objectives.

Civil war in "Israel" when? True Promise 3 when (lol)?

It doesn't help that some of the loudest voices cheering for Assad's fall where Palestinians and that sectarism is strong against Shia's...
