I meant posting to !environment. I can't be the only one, it's embarrassing.
Your zeal with the aussie-enviro community has been a source of inspiration to find new sources and up the rate of posting for me over at the Perth community. You should be feeling zero embarrassment.
Well what’s more embarrassing?
You being my main source of environmental news or you posting environmental news?
I would contribute but don’t know a lot and fear getting into discussions over my head or inadvertently spreading misinformation.

I've been an environmental activist for roughly 20 years. I've been arrested, I've been in fist-fights with Nazis, with the facial scars to prove it, I've done it all.
It feels like there are fewer activists today than there has ever been.
I'm planning to leave the country.
Where will you go?

I'm done chasing a house and family in Aus. The wife and I are looking to sell up belongings, go meet up with friends in Europe and spend our time kayaking and trekking around the place on the cheap. I have a job in Toronto waiting if I want to settle.
I'm done with Aussie work culture, shit Aussie pay (relative to professional roles overseas) and the worsening "fuck you got mine" attitude imported from the US that seems to permeate Aussie culture now.
A lot of my mates already left, I only held on because I thought we were progressing and I am very connected to the land here. I don't see it getting better anymore and we're destroying the landscape anyway.
Short of a High Court appeal it looks like we're back to direct action being absolutely essential to ensuring Australia's environmental obligations.
The responsible Minister has neither the interest nor the obligation to act.
