Narrow athletes have more mobility and external rotation, so they tend to choose the lockout with external rotation. Wide athletes have better strength and internal rotation, so it is more natural for them to finish with internal rotation.

So I’ve been lifting for about 8 years now. I’ve never been to crazy impressive with the numbers I put up but was always able to maintain numbers that made me feel strong. For reference I’m 88kg bw and the best I’ve ever done is 97kg snatch and 125kg clean and jerk. If anything plus say below average for lifters of that experience level and weight. Nine the less I was happy with those numbers. Here’s the problem is that since I’ve put those numbers up( 3 years ago now) I’ve been no where close to them and especially lately I’ve been so fucked up. Can’t make a 60kg snatch most days and haven’t jerked more than 80kg. I haven’t stopped training or changed much since I’ve hit those numbers. If anything I’d say I’m eating more and training smarter. But for the longest time I was always able to hover around a 80-85 kg snatch for good training reps. And 105-115 for c&j. I’m not sure what has happened the last few months but I’ve lost all strength and mentally it’s taking such a tole. It keeps me up at night now, training is no longer fun, and I’m not even looking for prs anymore just trying to get back to normal but fuck it’s got me just wanting to give up. If you’ve read this far I apologize for the long rant and not even sure I’m looking for advice or anything just venting. Everyone I train with is just like “dude your fine” and dosent seem to care to much about the situation so again I apologize for the long post.
