This is an excerpt from my math models textbook. It's about Lagrange Polynomials which is a technique that lets you fit a polynomial to a set of any number of unique points (x_1,y_1) ... (x_n,y_n) so long as all your x-values are different (otherwise it wouldn't be a function, and couldn't be a polynomial). The polynomial you'll calculate will be the unique, lowest degree polynomial that passes through all points.

Semi-related fun fact: The center of a KitKat is partly made of crushed off-cuts of the previous batch of KitKats. Which begs the question… what was the first KitKat made of?

was reading about cardoids when I was suggested mathematical deltoids.

image transcription:
image has two sides, left and right.
left being an image of a deltoid curve and right a deltoid muscle.

saw this comment on veritasium's latest video titled the SAT question everyone got wrong.

it's a nice video regarding rotation and revolution.

image transcription:

a comment below the aforementioned video by @arielrglaze reads , "It's messed up how messed up math has made us ignore what's obvious to the naked eye. it's even more messed up that we can't trust our eyes with anything."

I'm pretty sure you know what follows...

Image transcriptA recreation of the Piper Perri Surrounded meme. A white CASIO CFX-9850GB PLUS calculator is laid on its side on a cushion while three TI-83 Plus and two TI-84 Plus calculators, all black, are standing behind the cushion. The faces of corresponding actors are shown in 4-tone pixelated pictures on each calculator's respective screens, grayscale on the TIs and sepia-toned on the CASIO thanks to its (limited) color graphics. Words of the text "Original meme by Chaotic Neutral Czech" are used in place of the SHIFT functions on a row of keys on the Casio as a mild watermark.
