    If you do, include an obvious and clear warning.

  4. Don't post conspiracy theories
    Especially ones about nefarious intentions or funding. If you're concerned: Ask. Please don’t fuel conspiracy thinking here. Don’t try to spread FUD, especially against reliable privacy-enhancing software. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Show credible sources.

  5. Don't accuse others of shilling
    Send honest concerns to the moderators and/or admins, and we will investigate.

  6. Do not remove your help posts after they receive replies
    Half the point of asking questions in a public sub is so that everyone can benefit from the answers—which is impossible if you go deleting everything behind yourself once you've gotten yours.

Firefox stürzt ab: 6 % Marktanteil am Desktop, mobil kaum 0,5 %. Mozilla hat Vertrauen verspielt – das einst mächtige Add-on-System beschnitten, Mobile(-Security) vernachlässigt, Admins ignoriert, zu oft umgebaut statt verbessert. Technik verlor gegen Management-Floskeln. Der Exodus war hausgemacht. Und dennoch brauchen wir Firefox – sonst gehen uns die Alternativen zu Chrome endgültig aus.

Did anyone else have tab groups become disabled by default in the last few days? I'm on the beta version, and existing tab groups remain but I can't make new ones in 138.0b8 and 138.0b9.

I wonder if there's a story behind this, like being disabled due to instability.

It's enabled in Nightly and Beta, but given how long it's been on Nightly and how well it works, I'm wondering why it isn't available for everyone? Particularly when I was just on the phone to a family member and they said they don't use it on their tablet because they don't like the UI.

We’re simplifying how extensions gets consent to collect data

In 2025 we will launch a new data consent experience for extensions, built into the Firefox add-on installation flow itself. This will dramatically reduce the:

  1. development effort required to be compliant with Firefox data policies
  2. confusion users faces when installing extensions by providing a more consistent experience, giving them more confidence and control around the data collected or transmitted
  3. effort it takes AMO reviewers to evaluate an extension version to ensure it’s compliant with our data collection policies
