That's a big change. For a few years now the softcovers trailed the hardcovers by 1 year. And sometimes they even got cancelled entirely on short notice.

Now it seems that DC will release a bunch of books simultaneously as hardcover and softcover, for example Ram V's Detective Comics. And they also release the interjacent volumes too, so that the releases can sync up quickly and no softcovers are skipped.

As a softcover reader this is the best news since Rebirth (when almost everything was released as softcover).

For reference, the best thing I have read in a long time was DC vs. Vampires. On the other hand, I have not managed to finish the slog that is Dark Crisis.

This will be posted from this user now, compared to the first post, which was from my regular user.

For those who don't know: the way this works is that several comments will list this week’s releases, for any given title discussion you should respond to that comment. For example, Wonder Woman discussion would go in the replies to the "Wonder Woman" comment. Clicking the titles in this post will take you directly to that comment, too.

You can post in the Weekly discussion comment, if you don't have anything pertaining to a specific issue. You can find last weeks post here.

This is something i find useful and I'll try and post them on the correct day. Currently it is manual work, but I'll automate it eventually, if people enjoy it.

I'm a big fan of 90s comics and I think it's a pity that the vast majority of it has never been (and probably will never be) collected in paperback. I'm currently reading through some old Legends of the Dark Knight issues that I managed to track down, and I really liked this panel so I wanted to share it with you. 🙂

Actor Julian Sands who went missing several months ago in the San Gabriel Mountains in California has been found, and sadly, the news is not good. Some remains were found in the area on Saturday, and it has now been confirmed that they belong to Mr. Sands.

Julian Sands played Clark Kent’s Kryptonian father, Jor-El, in two episodes of Smallville… “Kandor” and “Abandoned.” Beyond Smallville, he was known for a number of high-profile projects including Warlock, 24, and A Room With A View.

He was only 65 years old. Our deepest sympathies go out to those who had known and loved him.

I really enjoyed the recent P.O.V. issue. Bruno Redondo's art has been such a treat in this run. Such a talented artist! What do others think?

Let's kick off a discussion by starting a comment chain for each comic you'd like to talk about. To keep it organized, the first comment for each comic thread should include the name of the comic and its issue number. I'll add hyperlinks along the way to help find each discussion. Thanks.

After Mr Miracle (2017), Strange Adventures (2020) and One Bad Day: Riddler (2022), the Hugo-nominated duo Tom King and Mitch Gerads comes back with a retelling of one of the most famous comic books covers (if not stories) of history.

Although I haven't read One Bad Day: Riddler, I'm generally a fan of Tom King, and his associations with Mitch Gerads are generally a win. What are you expecting?
