Hey everyone, just dropping a little plug for something I've put quite a large amount of effort into over the last few months.

My 150g Antweights, Shoveron and Elevron are now publicly available with a full print files, build guide, BOM and assemblies with more modules to follow in the future.

Hoping this is something that can give newcomers a jumping off point to get along to a competition without having to worry about learning CAD.

If you're interested link for the YouTube video is below, print files are hosted on printables and linked in the YouTube description.

I ask this because in season 6, Tombstone seemed like it was just dropping bombs on whoever it hit.

Now the obvious answer here is “because it’s Tombstone”, but even by Tombstone’s own standards those hits on Mammoth and Jackpot were fricking massive. Plus, in previous seasons, Tombstone could generally handle throwing itself into the wall without getting immobilized. Against both Mammoth and Jackpot, the recoil launched Tombstone into the wall so hard that the impact killed it.

So far, the only other bot I’ve seen that hits that hard was Son of Whyachi, which is saying something.

You start off in the smaller divisions and work your way up, building bots, with online tournaments.

I know it didn't, but it's interesting to think about. Both robots knocked out after one hit within the first five seconds. How do you judge that? What counts as aggression? et cetera

So what are we thinking that Discovery chooses now, of all times, in the middle of the run of Faceoffs on BB's own youtube channel, to start uploading their own highlights of past episodes?

A good sign? They've noticed how well Faceoffs is doing and want to let all those potential new viewers know that Discovery is where robot combat takes place on TV?

Or more cynically, they have no intention of doing anything with BB ever again and are trying to muddy the waters for casual fans searching for the "New" Battlebots video?

Thoughts?

Hi all,

I have a wierd social question to ask. My wife and I are huge BB fans. We discovered the NHRL in Norwalk CT a three months ago and have attended the last two months. It’s awesome and we love it.

Here’s the part I want to ask about: we’ve now seen several of our favorite drivers/captains! and we want to say hi but are too embarrassed. Hahaha

We saw Jamison last month (my kid grabbed his leg thinking he was me or my wife), Eric Wrigley both months, The Vasquez brothers fought this month, Jonathon Shultz, and Ricky Willems (I had a wierd caught in someone’s camera shot moment with the last two). No joke these are like are favorite bots and teams, and we’d love to say hi maybe grab a pic, but we feel so stupid bothering them. We didn’t see anyone else asking them so we weren’t sure if it was like an unspoken rule to leave them alone.

I've been watching a lot of things about robot fighting, such as NHRL and BATTLEBOTS, I think it sounds really fun and cool, but I have no knowledge about anything robotic or engineering related. How do I get into the sport?
