Cool...

This one goes out to all the small government, privacy loving, Republicans out there, supposedly hating invasive big brother tactics and representing the values of the American heartland.

Would be much appreciated if you could have a word with your people about this.

France is moving to classify X as a pornographic website, a designation that would place it under the country’s mandatory age verification and digital ID laws.

This step, if finalized, would force the company to either implement robust age-gating mechanisms or restrict access to adult content altogether to avoid being cut off from younger users.

It would also mean that users have to show ID to access the platform, introducing major implications for privacy and free speech.

• Trump dismissed Elon Musk's peace offering, calling him "insane" and showing little interest in reconciliation.

• Their public feud, sparked by Musk's criticism of Trump's policies, escalated on social media.

• While Musk initially threatened to decommission SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft and later appeared open to reconciliation, Trump remained unconcerned and focused on his legislative agenda.

Shares in Elon Musk's electric car company Tesla plunged 15% after Donald Trump threatened to terminate government contracts and subsidies given to Musk's companies. The rapid escalation in a feud between the two men comes just days after Musk left his government job with a golden key handed by the president. Plus, a landmark trial opens in Paris against TotalEnergies, accused of "greenwashing" its fossil fuel activities.

"This is not the Trump of 2015, nor is he the Trump of 2020. He's not even the Trump of 2024."

Those seeking a job in the federal government will now have to write an essay in support of Donald Trump's executive orders, according to a memo from the Office of Personnel Management.

Vince Haley, the White House's head of domestic policy, wrote in the May 29 memorandum that all civil service applicants must answer a series of essays as part of the job recruitment process, including one about how they would "help advance" Trump's policy priorities.

The "Make America Great Again" roadshow arrived in Europe this week with events in two nations where American conservatives see prime opportunities for a new transatlantic political culture -- one molded by Donald Trump's right-wing populism and imbued with grand "clash of civilizations" rhetoric.

The Conservative Political Action Conference -- CPAC -- opened its week of European events on Tuesday in Jasionka, Poland, where Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was among the speakers, urging Poles to vote for right-wing presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki in this weekend's runoff election.

Noem eschewed the diplomatic norm of non-alignment in elections in allied nations, as have other administration officials including JD Vance. "You will be the leaders that will turn Europe back to conservative values," she told attendees in Jasionka.

"He's finished, done, gone. He polls terrible. People hate him," an anonymous source close to the Republican Party told Politico. "He'd go to Wisconsin thinking he can buy people's votes, wear the cheese hat, act like a 9-year-old. … It doesn't work. It's offensive to people."
